Third Melbourne Event!

September 8th, 2009

For anyone in Melbourne, Australia who missed out on the first two Melbourne events, take heart! A third event has been added. Yay! Details are below:

Date: September 15th, 2009
Time: 11am – 12:30am (approx.)
Place: BMW Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne

The event is a talk and a signing, and books will be available to purchase. To reserve a place, send an email to vampireacademy@au.penguingroup.com by 5pm on Friday September 11.

I have RSVPed, so I am veryveryvery sincerely hoping I can get in to go to this one! I’m only working at night on the 15th, so this event is very feasible for me to attend. All fingers and toes are crossed. Good luck all!

VA Publicity!

September 7th, 2009

In Print!

oct09gf To officially kick things off on this site, the October 2009 issue of Girlfriend magazine mentions Blood Promise, the fourth book of the series. In addition to the mention, it also has a Borders 20% off voucher for the book.

Richelle is coming to Australia!

A Google search of Vampire Academy Australia led me to the discovery that Richelle Mead is coming to Australia! She will be here September 14-18 2009, and will visit Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. One of the events is sold out, so if you’re interested in seeing Richelle Mead and hearing her talk about the books, be sure to get yourself along to the signings! I wish I could go, but work is not permitting me. If you end up going, I would appreciate hearing about the events, and seeing some pictures! Be sure to book in for the event, as they are starting to sell out now.

A note on the site does say more events will be announced, so I shall keep an eye on the site, as it would be lovely to attend one of these events.

Hello world!

September 6th, 2009

Hi y’all, and welcome to the first ever post on the first ever Vampire Academy fansite! I look forward to posting news and everything else related to Vampire Academy, and hopefully meeting new fans along the way :)

A question to kick this site off with… if you heard the delightful news that Vampire Academy was to be made into a movie, who would you like to see play Rose, Dimitri and Lissa? I personally would love to see Kat Dennings as Rose, Rachel Hurd-Wood as Lissa, and the lovely Ben Barnes as Dimitri. But I am sure this is evident from my header image.

Only a short entry today, but be sure to check back here… We shall be updating whenever we find new Vampire Academy related items.
